Cafés | Specialty Coffee in Paris
Good coffee in Paris. Paris Coffee Project is a documentary series from writer/director Gar Hoover & writer/producer Beth Hoover of ideafarm films.
Where to find the New Wave cafés — and best coffee — in Paris.
Specialty coffee is exploding in Paris. More than a dozen artisanal cafés have opened their doors in the past few years, offering natives, expats and travelers alike a fresh alternative to the city's 7,000+ traditional cafés. The new kids bring a breath of indie air to a coffee scene previously dominated by a few corporate players, including supplier Cafés Richard, chain Starbucks (40 locations and growing) and capsule pioneer Nespresso, who together may have helped hold Paris back from embracing the specialty coffee revolution that swept cities across the globe two decades ago.
